Welcome to Bamboo Cottage! A historic cabin located in a private area surrounded by bamboo. This chink style cabin has been recently updated and professionally designed for guests in mind. A perfect place to relax while still being close to it all.
This cabin was lovingly renovated with modern touches throughout. You will find books, magazines, art, games and much more. We have created not only a space, but an experience during your time in Lynchburg.
Perfect for a family gathering, romantic getaway, or two couples.
We are close to everything. A quick walk to Lynchburg University, 5 miles to Liberty University, 3 miles to Downtown Lynchburg, and so much more.
We do allow pets for a $50 pet fee.
KITCHEN/LIVING ROOM
The living room features a new modern west elm sofa, two leather chairs, coffee table, books, art and a large 50 inch smart TV to stream netflix and more.
The kitchen features limestone countertops, new dishwasher and refrigerator, large sink, drip coffee pot and all that you need to cook a great meal and entertain.
MASTER BEDROOM -
King bed featuring a new memory foam mattress, 40 inch smart tv and full length mirror. There is a full bathroom connected to this room. All bedrooms have blinds on all windows and locks on doors.
SECOND BEDROOM-
Queen size bed, chair and ottoman for reading or relaxing, full closet for hanging clothes and a beautiful view of the bamboo and front porch.
COMMON SPACE/Used as a THIRD BEDROOM-
This room is a common area in the center of the two bedrooms, so you will walk up the stairs to this space (there is no front door, but does have two side doors to close off the other bedrooms). Queen size memory foam bed, desk with chair for remote workers and full size closet for hanging clothes. Please note, this room is at the top of the stairs and is an open concept bedroom with no front door.
UPSTAIRS BATHROOM-
A full bathroom with a shower and bath, vanity and sink and a skylight to enjoy the natural lighting in this space. All shampoo, conditioner and body wash are provided.
DOWNSTAIRS BATHROOM-
Full bathroom with a clawfoot tub and shower conversion, and pedestal sink.
DINNING ROOM-
Enjoy the eclectic gallery wall while dining with family and friends. The dining room has seating for 6, but additional seating is available on the wrap around indoor porch that surrounds the cabin.
Toys, games and books are available on the indoor wrap around porch. Enjoy a good book in our swing chair or relax on the back deck.
Front Porch:
Additional dining is available out front with an outdoor table and seating for 8, modern outdoor chairs and an umbrella.
Other things to note:
This cabin is off a main road, but you will need to drive down a narrow, graveled driveway to get to the cabin. This cabin was previously heated by a wood burning stove, but now has new mini splits throughout the home for fast cooling and heating. This cabin is very private, but we do have one neighbor that lives nearby and you may see cars parked on the left as you drive into our driveway. This is a cabin in the woods, so you may experience wildlife and insects on occasion.
