Positive: The wi-fi worked and the cleaning staff were a friendly bunch, but I can’t think of anything else outstanding. It taught me not to be such a cheapskate and just go upmarket a bit :-)
Negative: The room smelled of aged cigarette smoke despite an assurance that it wouldn’t. The armchair was so old, worn and greasy that I avoided sitting or putting anything on it. The reception staff had a very ambivalent attitude. The fridge was iced up and the temperature control was erratic. Apart from a microwave with a dodgy door switch, there were no other facilities.
Summary: You get what you pay for, I guess.
