Casa Frida is a house of two halves - downstairs is mostly original 1940's Art Deco, with some alterations. The upstairs master suite was added on in the 1990's. We remodelled the master suite in 2021 to become a really lovely upstairs retreat.
All three bedrooms are good sized double rooms - there are two king size beds, and one queen.
The kitchen is functional, with a dishwasher, fan oven, gas hob, and microwave - functional but dated. Although being so close to town, it is easy to walk to one of the fantastic Nelson restaurants or cafes. You will find plenty of dining recommendations in our guidebook at the property.
The downstairs bathroom has a lovely deep clawfoot bath, and separate shower - with great water pressure. The laundry is in the bathroom, in case you are coming off hiking the Abel Tasman and need to do some washing.
The master bedroom suite upstairs has a spacious ensuite, a walk in wardrobe, and a private rooftop balcony. You might have to draw straws for this room!
French doors open out from the dining room downstairs onto a patio, a nice sunny spot to enjoy a drink and a food platter.
I have saved the best until last - the location. So convenient to all that Central Nelson has to offer.
