Fast WIFI. 1 King bed, 1 Queen, 3 Full Beds; Twin bunk beds, a Tall Queen Air mattress and 1 twin air mattress. Master Bedroom with King bed and 50"'flat screen tv.
Close to Napa & Sonoma. 20 min walk to a Ferry to San Francisco.
OUR HOME
Bright, clean and tastefully decorated. Tons of natural light. Updated kitchen, bathrooms and floors. We have a vertical herb garden right outside the kitchen so add fresh rosemary or basil to your pasta dish or fresh cut chives to your morning toast with cream cheese.
The living room is cozy and comfortable with a flat screen tv with Netflix and Amazon Prime or use the HDMI cable to connect your laptop.
All of our bedrooms are named after our favorite wines:
1. The Mourvèdre Bedroom is downstairs and has a comfortable queen bed, contemporary linen and your own empty mirrored closet.
2. The Sangiovese Bedroom is also downstairs and has a memory foam full bed, your own empty mirrored closet and a baby grand piano!
3. The Petite Sirah bedroom is upstairs with a full bed and your own old-fashioned built-in empty closet.
4. The Merlot bedroom is also upstairs and sleeps 4. It has a comfortable full bed and twin bunk beds.
5. The Cabernet bedroom is very large with a gorgeous King bed, flat screen tv, teal lounge chair, and a large table/desk with a sporty styled office chair. Space is reserved for you in the closet and you have use of the top drawers in the dresser.
If you need additional sleeping spaces. we have a tall queen air mattress and twin air mattress for your use that can be set up anywhere you like. With the air mattresses, the house sleeps 15.
We have two full bathrooms. The downstairs bathroom is spacious with a granite countertop, double sink, modern scale and large bath tub. The upstairs bathroom has granite countertop, single sink and shower. Both bathrooms have been recently updated.
The kitchen is an eat-in kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. The dining table seats 8!but we have extra stackable chairs on sight. You are welcome to use our cookware, bakeware and dishes. We will leave room for you in the refrigerator.
Note that our home is in an urban area in the SF Bay Area. We are not in the country. Also, we do not have much of a backyard. We have a few spaces for a person to sit under a sail umbrella and read. And we prefer guests only use the backyard space for quiet contemplation.
OUR NEIGHBORHOOD
We love living here because we get to have the urban feel of a city; the country feel with Sonoma and Napa so close; and the Marina feel with the Bay just 3 blocks.
We are ideally situated to do either Napa or Sonoma. And I would be happy to share with you where you can wine taste for free and where you can take a country drive to see wild peacocks, alpacas as pets for sale and possibly where you can buy local honey roadside on the honor system.
We are just a few blocks from the Marina. You can take a 20 minute stroll and have bay front dining or get a tasting flight of beer at Mare Island Brewing. The Vallejo Yacht Club frequently has a range of public events.
We are just 3 blocks from the bridge to Mare Island. Learn the history of the Island and do wine tasting while listening to live music at The Godfather Winery.
Right next door to the Mare Island Brewery is the Ferry to San Francisco. You can explore SF's awesome Ferry Building Marketplace with world renowned restaurants like The Slanted Door. And, be absolutely sure to stop off at the La Cocina Kiosk right across from the Ferry Plaza Wine Merchant. Look them up online but don't leave without picking up some Clairesquares or Alfajores from Sabores Del Sur. I could tell you that La Cocina is the only non-profit in the Ferry Building or that the products are locally made by small business entrepreneurs, but what I really think you should know is that your tastebuds will never stop thanking me for these marvelous in-the-know tips.
The Ferry drops you off close to Fisherman's Wharf, Chinatown, Coit Tower, the Financial District and public transportation to just about every corner of SF. Imagine boating past Alcatraz on your way into the city!
And, last but not least, our home has the urban feel. If you're in the mood for pizza, Napoli is 1 block down and you can wait for your pie while playing a game of Pac-Man. And, right across the street is a famous hands only car wash. These guys are crazy characters but they are respected near and far for being absolute experts at detailing a car. If you happen to be in town on the 4th Wednesday of the month, enjoy an array of gourmet food trucks right on the water front... now that's a unique urban experience not to be missed!
INTERACTION WITH US
We can be as social as you like or we can be sure that you never see us. Our portion of the home is locked and we give you full run of the house. If you rent the optional 5th bedroom, we will not be around but are always available by text and phone.
GETTING AROUND
We are close to the CA-37, CA-29, I-80 and the I-780.
You can drive into San Francisco a number of ways. One way will take you over the Golden Gate Bridge and the other way will take you over the Bay Bridge.
We are a 15 minute walk to the Vallejo Transit center where you can catch the 80 bus to El Cerrito Del Norte Bart Station and from there take the BART into San Francisco.
We are a 20 minute walk to the Vallejo Ferry Building where you can catch the ferry to San Francisco.
One of our recent guests took the bus to Napa and rented a bike to go wine tasting!
And, Uber and Lyft will pick you up as well.
