My Mountain home is an escape from the city's hustle and bustle, the perfect getaway home for couples, friends, and families. Located within minutes to Kinglake town and the Kinglake National Park. Our newly renovated home is cosy and spacious with wonderful views overlooking our 2 acre block, surrounded by gum trees and newly planted fruit orchards. My Mountain Home is a quiet country holiday destination perfect for recharging and experiencing nature in all its glory
The space
My Kinglake Mountain home is the house at the end of a long driveway.
At the front of the property is the large land space with newly planted fruit orchard with a small pond that gets filled after heavy rains.
Towards the back of the property is the Main house with a shed on the left-hand side which can fit two cars. More parking is available on the driveway if required.
The house has a spacious front yard and a backyard area. There are a total of four bedrooms; 3 bedroom upstairs (1 x King size bed, 2 x king single beds, 1 x queen bed) and 1 bedroom (1 x queen bed) downstairs and Two bathrooms, one on each floor.
The lower floor has a spacious living room with an open wood fire place and a back hallway that leads to the kitchen and dining space which also have another wood fire place. There is a small undercover patio which guest can use the trestle tables and chairs provided and small weber gas BBQ to have outdoor dining (this can be moved if desired to the front lawn- however please return to initial position after use, and clean BBQ). The back patio has stacks of firewood- ready to be used for the fire place in colder and winter months.
Guest access
Guest will have access to entire home except the walk-in pantry and laundry/storage areas which will be locked as this is used for our storage.
No access for guest in the workshop behind the shed, it will be locked
Please feel free to explore the land in the property but please be wary and look out for wildlife (snakes, bull ants, moths, mosquitos), tripping and other hazards.
Please note that although our house is child friendly it is not child-proof, please put away anything breakable that curious fingers may want to touch for the duration of your stay (Portable cot/ co-sleeper can be organized if required).
Other things to note
• Upon booking confirmation, you will receive details for Wi-fi (Starlink Satellite- please do not unplug, move, or remove the Router) login along with the Entry Key passcode.
• Please drive carefully along the driveway as the road leading to the house is not an asphalt driveway.
• The backyard cubby house is in Maintenance at this stage so no access for guests.
• AC split system in the kitchen/dining area is currently under maintenance, however in the living room AC is in working condition. We will provide floor fans and heaters in all bedrooms to use if required.
• Kinglake is situated in a Bushfire prone area and has experienced some very serious bushfires in the past. As such in the summer especially the late summer it is necessary to keep a constant lookout for those dangerous conditions. Fire Ratings indicate those conditions. CFA website will illustrate those warnings “About Fire Ratings”. There are 6 degrees of rating ranging from a LOW to the maximum CODE RED. Any of the highest 3 ratings ; SEVERE, EXTREEME and Code Red it will not be possible to stay over. It’s advised in these conditions it’s best to leave early as you and your families safety cannot be guaranteed. We will do our best to notify you and any booking made during this time will be refunded.
• Please dispose all Rubbish in the appropriate bins provided upon check out and place all dishes in the dishwasher and run the ‘heavy wash cycle’ (Refer to House Manual that will be provided upon confirmation of booking)
• Turn off all electrical appliances/lights/Heaters/AC when not in use or leaving the house (Refer to House Manual for appliances usage and check-out checklist)
• Fire place metal fire screen should always be used when the fire is on
