Murphy's Circle consists of a 2-acre riverfront parcel on the lovely Russian River in the hamlet of Guerneville, California. At this site you are welcome to rent the entire property, with exclusive use, including our lovely meadow, seasonal dock and large parking circle. If your group does not need exclusive use of the entire property, then please visit our other VRBO/Homeaway site #834613. In 2019 we were offering two of our Cottages, #1 and #4 - with a maximum occupancy of 16 and our four "glamping" tents with an additional maximum capacity of 16. That is counting every bed space. We do have availability, but need to know your needs before we can confirm. The tents are included at an additional charge for smaller groups. The base price quoted by this website is for use of two Cottages and 10 guests staying. Enter your correct dates and number of guests and this site should give you the cost of your reservation. If it is not clear, please ask us for help. Not everyone wants to share a bed, so please plan accordingly. During spring/summer/fall 2020 we have 6 beds, 2 sofa/futon beds and 2 twin foam mattresses available indoors and 10 beds available in our "glamping" tents. Swim, boat or float along the Russian River (weather and water levels permitting), stroll to the many shops and restaurants in downtown Guerneville, walk or hike among the ancient redwoods in nearby Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve and the adjoining Austin Creek State Recreation Area, drive to the Pacific Ocean for great vistas, a run on the beach and dining, and/or visit one or several of the dozens of great wineries here in Sonoma County or nearby in Napa and Mendocino. Rest and relax in our lovely meadow or on the private deck outside your door. We have a seasonal dock so you can swim, fish, or launch your kayak, canoe or floaty thing. The "season" for dock use usually corresponds with the time the seasonal dams are installed on the river, which stabilize the level of the river, generally from June 15-October 1. But be sure to ask because it can change each year. Also available seasonally in the meadow are our fire pit, four picnic tables with seating for 6+ each, several chairs and/or lounges, and a charcoal/wood BBQ grill. We also have folding tables available by reservation, which accommodate 6-8 each for your meeting or dining pleasure. Our lovely meadow is a great choice for your feast or gathering spot. Each cottage has a kitchen and a propane BBQ grill on a private deck very close by. Newly remodeled Cottage #1 has two rooms with one queen-size bed and one full/double bunkbed with a single over in the bedroom and one full/double futon sofa in living room, two bathrooms (one of which is ADA-compliant), it is ~750sf in size, and sleeps up to 7; we welcome those with accessibility issues because we come from a family where planning for access and including everyone is important. Cottages #2 and #3 are a side-by-side duplex, which is currently in the midst of construction and should be ready for occupancy in 2021. Cottage #4 has two bedrooms (with one queen-size bed and one full/double bunkbed with single over), has a queen-size sofabed in the living room, has a washer/dryer on the back deck, is ~835sf in size, and sleeps up to 8. A well-managed adult dog is welcome by reservation and only in Cottage #4, which has a fenced backyard area. Be certain to tell us the breed so we can be certain your dog would be allowed by our insurance carrier. No disclosure, no agreement, NO DOG. Here is the list of dogs not allowed per our liability insurance company: Akitas, Alaskan Malamutes, Bull Mastiffs, Presa Canarios, Chow Chows, Doberman Pinchers, German Shepherds, Pit Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers, Rottweilers, Siberian Huskies, Wolf/Dog hybrids or mixed breeds linked to any of the breeds described in this schedule, or any trained attack or fighting dog. We have four Glamping (shorthand for glamorous camping) tents at the East end of our meadow. These are high quality canvass straight wall tents placed upon sturdy wooden platforms. Each outfitted as a comfortable bedroom, with a deck overlooking the meadow and the river. Together these four tents sleep up to 16 in 10 beds. So if your party has a few more folks beyond what would be comfortable in our cottages, or if everyone wants their own bed, then one or more of our glamping tents will be available by prior reservation. Your reservation does not include the tents if you have not requested a quote for them and we have not agreed to make them available. We will try to honor late requests, but there will be an additional fee of $500.00 for late set up, if it is even possible.
