For the first time this cabin is being offered as a rental. Moose on the Loose is a beautiful, custom built, true log cabin located in the Cobbly Nob neighborhood of Gatlinburg, TN. It has everything you need to enjoy your trip including resort amenities and a fully equipped kitchen. It is semi-secluded, nestled into the trees with a view of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park right across the street and just minutes to downtown Gatlinburg.
The space:

There are 3 bedrooms (1 of which is located in the Rec Room) + 2.5 bathrooms that sleeps 8. You will have 3 levels with 4 decks (3 covered and 1 uncovered)
First floor:

Other things to note-
While we offer check-ins we cannot offer check-outs on November 24th 2022 or December 25th 2022. If you instant book checking-out on these days you will be asked to reschedule your stay. We do this to keep our cleaners with their families on the holidays. Thank you for understanding!
While the roads are easily maneuverable keep in mind it can get steep, narrow, or windy in some places
Roads are all paved and well maintained by the community in every season
GPS should bring you straight to the cabin. It is well marked with a sign at the road and at the cabin door and detailed instructions can be sent to you
Provided: STARTER KIT of K-cups, Paper towels, toilet paper, hand/body/hair/dish soap, detergents, garbage bags, salt, pepper, foil and saran wrap are provided.
Provided: Towels/ Linens. You will be given 8 bath towels and wash cloths + 8 Hot Tub towels (white with a blue line down the center) located in the Game Room on the entertainment center table.
Guest to bring: any sort of zip lock bags, cooking oils, coffee filters/grounds, sweetener, cream, tea, or grocery options, etc.
All TVs are smart TVs and offer streaming from your favorite platform (BYO Password).
Check-in is at 4 pm (EST)
Check-out is at 10 am (EST)
There are BUGS in the mountains and you might find some unwelcome guests. We have regular pest control so it makes sense you might find critters that didn't make it. Rest assured that we will have someone out right away if there are any issues
Bear sightings happen often at the cabin. I will send some literature to help be Bear-Wise. Please don't feed them or leave any food in the vehicles. They are very crafty so keep vehicle windows closed and doors locked
RULES:
We are not responsible for any injuries obtained during your stay at the cabin.
The driveway and front stairs are monitored/recorded. Please do not tamper, attempt to cover, or disconnect the equipment or WIFI. If you do, you will be asked to leave with no refund and a $50 fee will be charged.
Age limit - All guests must be 25 years of age or over unless with a parent or guardian.
Occupancy - You will be asked to leave with no refund for exceeding the occupancy agreed upon also to include having parties and a $500 additional cleaning fee will apply.
Pets - You will be asked to leave with no refund for bringing any animal and a $500 additional cleaning fee will apply.
Check-in is at 4 pm with an electronic lock code and check-out is at 10 am. Unless an agreement between host and guest has been reached regarding a later/earlier check-in time, there is a $50 fee for every 30 minutes pass checkout time.
Bear - It is common to see a bear at the cabin so please use caution. They are crafty critters and know how to open car doors. Keep windows/doors/trash cans locked and food inside the cabin and please do not feed them. They are cute but not cuddly.
No smoking/vaping/drugs/fireworks/illegal activity. You will be asked to leave with no refund and a $500 additional cleaning fee will apply.
Septic - We are on a septic system, ONLY toilet paper can be flushed.
Hot Tub - Keep hot tub cover on while not in use. No soaps/lotions/oils allowed in the hot tub. Monitor children at all times when using the Hot Tub. Do not stand on cover (it is only foam and will break) a $500 replacement fee will apply.
Do not run A/C and fireplace at same time. It could freeze up unit and cause damage you will be responsible for.
If you used the Grill please be sure to clean it! The cleaning brush is located under the grill in the cabinet.
No changes/refunds given for illness/fear of wildlife or roads/weather/natural disasters/power or internet outages/acts of God/events beyond the host's control.
Do not use the grill in windy conditions. Turn propane valve off when you are finished using. Do not EVER leave fire unattended.
No trailer or RVs allowed. It is against community rules and we don't offer the proper space to park them.
No Fireworks or hunting permitted within Cobbly Nob Neighborhood.
We recommend the purchase of Travel Insurance for all planned vacations.
