Summary: Unlike the photos on the site, the house was in need of a deep cleaning and showed damage from hard use (torn wallpaper, dirty carpets, etc). More troubling were dirty sheets on one of the beds (owner changed them for us), a lack of washcloths/towels (owners found hand towels instead when reported) and a non-working toilet on the main floor of the home requiring senior guests to navigate to a basement bath. The toilet issue was reported within 2 hours of check-in on Friday but was not corrected during our weekend stay. We have been told we will get partial refund for our issues. We would not go back to this house. It's unfortunate because the bones of the house and layout were fine and accommodating for a group, but deferred maintenance, inaccurate response from the local property management team and the lack of a sense of urgency to resolve the situation left us disappointed. Having booked the stay for friends, it was embarrassing to have them have to navigate to an unfinished basement to use the restroom the entire weekend. We are lucky we have flexible friends with a good attitude - but we will not repeat and would suggest any future renters inspect the situation closely.Did I mention the ant infestation? On Saturday night the maintenance person showed up and handed us a box of ant traps and asked that we distribute where we were seeing bugs....Upside? Owners tried to help and encouraged us to provide feedback. All issues found could be addressed by maintenance
