Moore's Mountain Inn sits along the Yellow Breeches Creek in south-central Pennsylvania. This 1798 brownstone tavern has been graciously restored to include three charming guest rooms each with private bath. This listing is for Adam's Room. The Owners, Jared and Karen Moore, live onsite with their Golden Retriever, Mackie, but their quarters (including the kitchen) are separate from the guest quarters. There is NO full kitchen available to guests, and NO cooking. We can recommend plenty of local restaurants for eat-in, take-out or delivery - we provide plates, flatware, glassware, etc. Common areas that are shared by guests and the Moore's include a screened front porch, dining room, bar, media room, patio with hot tub, and the firepit. The owners are also avid gardeners and the landscaping reflects this. A self-serve “lite fare” breakfast (breads, butter, cereals, yogurts, milk, juice, and more) is included with your stay, and there is a Keurig, a hot water pot, and an assortment of teas and coffee as well. Guests are also welcome to bring their own food, especially if they have special dietary needs. Other amenities include: * Hot Tub with surrounding gardens and patio * WIFI throughout the inn * Modern rooms with private baths, and flat-screen TV’s with ROKU and CD players * Central heating and air conditioning * Dining area with adjacent screened-in front porch * Bar with small refrigerator, sink, microwave and ice maker * Library/ Media room with comfortable seating and a 100" projection TV * Parking for up to 4 vehicles * Fire-pit – bring your own wood or purchase bundles from the neighbor * We DO NOT accept pets, and our inn is not suitable for children under 12 * Smoking is allowed outdoors only! The Inn is conveniently located near Ski Roundtop and Messiah College just 10 miles south of Harrisburg, PA, and 25 miles from Hershey and Gettysburg. The area is rural, but Rt 114 is a main thoroughfare, and our close proximity to to I-81 and the intersections of routes 15, I-83 and I-76 make area businesses and attractions easily accessible. Those traveling for business or for pleasure have found their stay with us affordable, secure, and more enjoyable than an impersonal hotel or motel. We are also the perfect pit-stop for “Snowbirds” traveling to and from warmer climates!
