Positive: We were welcomed by João and his wife, Sabina , soon after landing at Faro and collecting our hire car. The directions were clear and easily followed. After initial introductions we were given a comprehensive tour of the villa and where to find all the essential extras that take all the worries out of holidaying in new surroundings.. The owners, despite living in another villa only about thirty metres away, did not disturb us and as the family had usually left soon after 8am each weekday, we had total privacy and sole use of the swimming pool all the time. The rural and somewhat remote location meant it was a peaceful and relaxing holiday. Sao Bras de Alportel was only a short drive away and boasts four supermarkets with plenty of bars and eateries and deserves at least a couple of days walking around the town discovering all of the places of interest. The location makes it easy to travel to all of the Algarve and any of the five major shopping centres. We were fortunate to have brilliant weather for nearly all of our stay, enabling us to make full use of the pool and the completely private sun terrace. We fully intend to revisit in the future.
Negative: Apart from having to return home at the end of our booking, there was nothing to dislike.
