REST - RESTORE - REJUVENATE at Monstera Terrace, a brand new tiny home located in Kill Devil Hills on the beautiful OBX. 1/2 mile from the beach. Close to the sound, hiking trails, parks and historic sites. Centrally located to many shops and restaurants. The home has a private entrance and fenced patio to offer our guests seclusion. There is a dedicated parking spot, complimentary bikes and beach chairs for guest use. An outside shower, luxe bedding, plush towels and blackout window treatments provide high end accomidations.
THE SPACE
Monstera Terrace is a detached and separate tiny home with its own private entrance and fenced in patio. The entrance of the home opens to a foyer space with storage and a space for hanging clothes. From there you can gain access to either the bedroom or the bathroom.
Inside the bedroom, you will find a queen size bed with a memory foam mattress, mattress topper, cooling mattress pad and hotel style sheets. The lightweight quilt is perfect for the summer months but an additional blanket is available along with extra pillows, if needed. The enhance the hotel feel of the space, you will find layered window treatment options to control the lighting to your preference. Blackout shades are included for lazy mornings sleeping in.
A set of stools in the bedroom offer the perfect spot for sipping coffee as you look out into the landscaped garden area. There is a side chair and desk should a workstation be necessary. There is a guidebook for the space that will have all of the information you need regarding your stay (places to visit, great restaurants to enjoy, sites to see, etc).
The suite is equipped with a mini fridge, microwave and Keurig. The TV is a smart TV that has a Firestick with streaming services (HBO, Netflix, Hulu and more)(cable is not included). WiFi is available for guest use.
The private bathroom is accessed via the foyer hall and has a full size bathtub with shower. We have also included plush towels and toiletries.
Outside of the suite, you will find yourself in the private patio that has outdoor seating along with an outdoor shower. The shower has a rain shower head and wand (perfect for rinsing your feet after a walk on the beach). There are cafe lights around the patio that set a relaxing mood at night. While you are visiting, your hosts will have access to the other areas of the yard but your space is fenced off for privacy.
The suite is fully detached and nestled behind the main home which is occupied by Amy, her husband, Dillon, and their toddler, Jack, along with two Brussles Griffon pups, Oskar and Leon. You may hear us from time to time outside enjoying our area of the yard.
Free, on site parking in the front is provided for our guests. There is one designated parking spot for our guests. It is marked with signage and landscape lighting. You will gain access to your suite via a paved walkway that leads through a fence to your private patio. From there, you will find the private entry to Monstera Terrace. If you arrive at night, there are landscape lights that light the pathway to the tiny home.
We are dedicated to the comfort of our guests and their time with us so we will provide what is needed to start your stay off with one roll of toilet paper and paper towels, some breakfast treats, two waters, two coffees and creamer/sugar.
The beach is approximately 1/2 mile from the tiny home. There are two main beach accesses with free public parking available. One is located at Martin Street (with a stoplight for crossing the highway) or Clark Street. There is a large bathhouse with showers and bathrooms located nearby at the beach access on Ocean Bay Blvd.
