7 Bedroom Cottage in Selwyn, Lakefield

Modern, executive cottage with over 200 feet of private lakefront. Plenty of room inside and out for a large family vacation or corporate retreat. Free WiFi and great cellular coverage. Ten-minute drive to Lakefield for shopping and groceries. Great swimming, sandy walk in for small kids or jumping off the new dock for older kids and adults. Plenty of toys to keep everyone out enjoying the sun and the lake - canoe, kayaks, paddle board, paddle boat and a 15-foot water mat. Enjoy sunsets from one of two docks. The 5,000+ sq foot cottage plus bunkies comfortably sleeps 18 adults. There are 7 bedrooms in the cottage, 3 with walk out access to the deck. There are also two small bunkies for additional sleeping capacity, one with a queen bed and the other with two double beds and a twin. The main room is open concept, with sitting areas and beautiful views of the lake. Plus there are two other family rooms, allowing kids and teens to have their own space. One on the main floor and the second in the lower level with a walk out to the lake.
The recently renovated kitchen is both spacious and well equipped with a sub-zero fridge, microwave, oven, food processor, food mixer, espresso and Tasimo coffee maker and plenty of kitchen cooking supplies. There are two BBQs, one on the main deck and one by the lake dock. Tables inside and out are large enough for everyone to dine together.
Unlimited Internet and satellite TV are included, great wireless reception throughout the property.
There are two indoor fireplaces (main room and family room), as well as an outdoor fireplace on the main deck and a fire pit on the lawn. Lakeside decks are perfect for evening sunsets.
The cottage is less than 2 hours from Toronto and only 10 minutes from great shopping, restaurants, and outdoor activities in Lakefield.
Kawartha Lakes Waterfront
The cottage has two TVs with satellite, free internet, great cell coverage, and a stereo system. There is plenty of in-door and outdoor games for your use along with a Springfree trampoline, plenty of water toys - kayaks, paddleboard, canoe, paddleboat and a great water mat. It is a 10-minute drive to Lakefield, making it easy to pick up groceries and supplies during your stay as well as access to great shops and restaurants. There are walking trails off the cottage road that brings you to the conservation area, great for hiking and exploring.

Summary: This cottage is very impressive. Despite the sprawling size of the property, it is also quite private and this really makes for an enjoyable stay with a "retreat" feel. We had 11 adults staying and there was more than enough room for everyone to have an entire bed and bedroom to themselves. There were enough canoes, kayaks, and boards (plus a paddleboat) for everyone to be out on the water at once. The kitchen and dining room were extremely well stocked with cookware and appliances - we cooked constantly and produced several mutli-course gourmet meals with ease. Despite a storm in the days prior to our arrival, we had no issues with power or water. Kelly was very responsive and helpful in the days leading up to arrival, being incredibly flexible with our arrival and checkout timing. I highly recommend this place!
