Positive: House is nicely staged. Plenty big for a family of 5, clean & is in a nice quite neighbourhood. Outdoor firepit is a great plus for family togetherness & bonding times. Location is in Encinitas which makes it about 30-40mins farther from all major attractions like Zoo, Sea World, Old Town SD, Major known beaches etc/. We parked our car outside in the driveway as garage was kept locked. If you open the windows for fresh air, you will hear traffic super loud all day & all night long. We felt a bit stuffy in the house so we did open the windows for the day & closed them for the night just so the house could air out a little bit.
Negative: Beware: The check out at this property is 10:00am & the cleaning crew is there 10mins early. We didn't like to be rushed. Usually checkout everywhere else is 11am & that seems perfect when we are on vacation as we like to sleep in & enjoy our mornings which is why we rented a house rather than a hotel. I also think that it is priced too high for nightly rates as compared to the other homes we booked during our visit to SD. There's a room downstairs with a twin bed & lights in that room are either controlled by a timer or an app. They freaked us out while we were sitting in the living room & watching movies at night. I texted the host about this concern as my daughter was scared of lights going on & off on their own, but the host didn't respond back.
Summary: Good house but bit pricey IMO
