Welcome to The Cellars Edge. So much more than a vacation rental. This modern 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom Alaskan bluffside retreat is nestled in the trees of the beautiful Mat-Su Valley. Just 5 minutes from the heart of Wasilla, which also provides easy access to the highway for all your day trips, you're near enough for a grocery run but far enough to enjoy the wildlife and peace. Centrally located on maintained roads but at the end of a dead end sleepy road, this location does not disappoint.
An abundance of activities abound! From an easy hike to Gold Chord Lake or a jaunt on the expansive trails of Government Peak Recreational Area, to fishing the Little Su, kayaking on Finger Lake, and so much more. We are proud to live in Alaska's playground with the wealth of breathtaking views, adventurous activities, and tasty local treats.
Nestled on the edge of a bluff, you can immerse yourself in nature from the comfort of the retreat with the floor to ceiling windows showcased in the main living area. Or take that comfort outside as this brand new building has a wrap around deck for enjoying those long and warm Alaskan evenings with friends or family.
The modern kitchen with simple lines has all the amenities to cook your favorite meals while conversing with friends around the quartz waterfall island. Grab your favorite cup of complimentary coffee from the gourmet coffee maker or french press and take in the morning views on the deck. Locally crafted loose leaf teas, coffee syrups and honey welcome you and all your morning perk up needs to start your day.
Each bedroom is tastefully decorated for style and comfort. The queen size beds are wrapped in soft sheets to bring a touch of home to your night. Each room is appointed with a LED TV if the day of memories needs to be chased by the latest laughs from Netflix.
The bathrooom continues the modern feel with a spacious, free floating vanity, plenty of lights and a well placed bench for comfort. Freshen up in the large walk in shower with dual shower heads, complimentary spa grade toiletries, and locally made soap, shower steamers and soft cozy robes.
Outside you'll enjoy views of the Talkeetna mountains from the hot tub, or from the fire pit if you choose from the outdoor seating and well lit deck for evenings in the fresh air.
This quaint little spot is located just 10 minutes from all major amenities, groceries stores and coffee shops. It is directly off of a borough maintained road and easily accessible with most vehicles. 4 wheel drive not necessary!
