Shanty Creek has a portfolio of five 18-hole championship courses at one propery. Hawk’s Eye (Robinson) , Schuss Mountain Course (Bowen), Cedar River (Weiskopf), The Legend (Palmer), and Summit Course (Diddel). In addition, other excellent courses are located nearby.
Winter sports are covered too. Schuss Mountain offers 42 runs and 8 lifts and includes 3 terrain parks. Summit Mountain offers 11 runs and 3 lifts and includes an Alpine tubing park. There are plenty of trails for cross country skiing, fat biking, and snowshoeing . Those who love snowmobiling the Jordan Valley Trail System is just minutes away from Schuss Village.
Fifteen minutes away are the crystal clear waters of Torch Lake and in our opinion the best mountain bike/hiking trail in Michigan, Glacial Hills.
Bellaire is a 10 minute drive and is an awesome little town with the famous Shorts brewery and Mammoth Distillery as well as many other great restaurants and shops.

Summary: House was very clean, owners were responsive. It was perfect situation for our golf trip- we were located 5 minutes from all of the shanty creek courses. We would definetely stay again. If arriving after dark bring a flashlight as it is pitch black and hard to see and locate the house. Overall 10/10
