All utilities are included along with Wi-Fi and TV Package. The Kitchen has all new stainless appliances and is fully stocked with cookware to prepare meals. This home is turn-key ready to live in.
All homes are completely sanitized between tenants.
Helen and Van Arnold own many homes in the neighborhood and mange all the homes themselves. They care for the homes and the tenants like family.

This is a beautifully furnished ranch style home only minutes away from MD Anderson and other hospitals in the Texas Medical Center. The home is a 3 bedroom 2 bath with 2 car garage. It is completely furnished including all cookware, towels, linens and everything needed to move in. Also included are all utilities, internet and SMART TV. This home is set on 4 acres in a country environment only 4 miles from the Medical Center. We own the entire block and each home has its own private gate and privacy fence. This is Single family home, not a Town House, Condo or Apartment.
All our homes have 3 month minimum rental stay.
We live on the block and assist all our tenants in getting moved in and oriented to the area.

Last fall, my husband was diagnosed with Leukemia and we knew we needed to get to MD Anderson as quickly as we could. Treatment for this kind of disease is no small affair, so we had to find a place to live for several months, maybe up to a year. We also have two medium/large dogs who are older and wouldn't understand our absence if we were to leave them with friends. (Plus, we believe dogs can be a big part of the healing process.) So along they came.
The hospital gave us a pretty substantial list of places we might be able to stay while we were in Houston, but none of them seemed to be panning out. I took it upon myself to check in with VRBO to see what else might be out there, and found Medical Center Home.
It was perfect...a real find. We were never going to survive what we were facing in a one room studio apartment or a hotel room or hostel. What we needed was a real home with a yard, and it needed to be within throwing distance of the hospital. And MCH had one ready for us.
The home itself was lovely. It was tastefully furnished with three bedrooms which was perfect when friends or family came to visit or help us out. A full kitchen with everything we needed so we didn't have to bring dishes or cookware. And the yard was fenced, which the dogs really enjoyed. It's close to groceries, pharmacies, restaurants, highways, and fun...great location. Quiet neighborhood too, we always felt safe and sound.
One feature that really took a few things off our plate was that everything was included...utilities, cable and lawn care. We didn't have to think about those things while we were busy conquering cancer. All we had to do was settle back and heal.
And finally, I can't say enough about the landlords. They were generous and kind, and helped us every time we needed it, quickly and without fail. They were very flexible when the 6 or 7 months we were planning on became 10, never even batted an eye. They're pretty amazing, and we're lucky to have found them. Even their young son was so thoughtful as to bring my husband a shell he found on the beach to help him get better.
I can't imagine what kind of experience Houston would've been for us if we hadn't landed at Medical Center Home. If you're coming to Houston and need a place to stay, for whatever reason, get in touch with them. You'll be really glad you did.

My wife and I have stayed at one of Van's & Helen's homes for over a year and a half. Our home is tastefully decorated and well supplied with all extra needed accessories like dishes, pot & pans, silverware and towels. Everything you need is there when you move in. Just bring your clothes and enjoy.
But what makes the experience great it just how personal both Van and Helen treat us and their desire to make anything you need is always available upon request. Even when you don't need anything they're asking if you do.
Just like any restaurant when I eat at a nice place they all have great food. But you're desire to come back is often based on how the staff treats you. Van & Helen should have their pictures in the dictionary next to customer service.
You will NEVER regret staying in one of their homes.
