1 Bedroom Cabin in Manyepa, Siavonga
Cheerful open plan self catering chalet located on the banks of the Zambezi River. Relax in a quiet off-grid location while enjoying the comfort of home. This is one of two identical units - see Mopani Guesthouse - Lower Zambezi, Siavonga. Guests have full and private use of the entire chalet, which includes a bathroom with shower and toilet and a fully fitted kitchen. Masau Guesthouse is powered by a renewable energy source, with the exception of air-conditioning, which can be activated for an additional hourly fee. Boat launch and floating dock available for those who come with a boat. Favourite water activities are game cruises along the Eastern bank (Hurungwe Conservancy) and fishing for Bream, Chessa and Tigerfish. We are located in a rural area where wildlife may move around. Hippos, crocodiles and occasionally lions are in the area but this unit is safely enclosed by monitored electric fencing. Many species of birds are found in the area. Masau Guesthouse is surrounded by irrigated pastures that support an established sheep farm. Directions: NOTE: It is recommended to travel to this property with 4x4 only during our rainy season (Dec - Feb.) GPS Coordinates of our security gate: S16.3013 E28.8137 From Lusaka (180kms): Follow the T1 South until you reach the M15 that takes you towards Siavonga. After turning onto the M15 continue for 35kms until you find a green signpost on the left that says "Mukuyu Outreach." Follow the dirt road for 9kms until you reach Manyepa village. Keep left when entering the village, continue through the village and after clearing the last huts keep going for 100m then take the first left. Keep on that road for a couple kms and you'll find our tan coloured security gate on your right. Press the buzzer and we'll open the gate for you. From Siavonga / Kariba (47kms): Head out of town and follow the M15 North for 35kms until you find the green "Mukuyu Outreach" sign on the right, and follow the instructions as above.
