This unique 3100 square foot home offers all the advantages of the mountains and lake in one private setting. The Martin home is nestled in the trees on it's own point with amazing views of the surrounding mountain ranges and rests just above the pristine waters of Lake Jocassee. The house has three bedrooms and enough additional sleeping space to accommodate 10 people comfortably. There are two main levels to the house and a small loft. Lower Level Master bedroom (Queen) Kitchen Living room Stone fireplace and separate woodstove Two full baths Mudroom/Laundry room Large Screened-in porch Huge wrap-around deck Upper level Bedroom 1 (Full) Bedroom 2 (Full xl) Two private full baths Bunk beds (Twin) Daybed (Twin) Two decks overlooking the lake Loft Single bed (Twin) The kitchen is open to the home and equipped with up-to-date appliances, and plenty of dishes and accessories. The living room is open to the dining room and kitchen and has a large wood-burning fireplace as its centerpiece. For indoor entertainment there is a Dish Television, BlueRay player, and a game table. The huge wrap-around deck and spectacular screened porch offer rare views of the lake and mountains and are great places to sun, grill, and relax. The house has central heat and air conditioning. There are two inclined-car lifts that service the house - one takes you from the parking lot to the main deck and the other takes you down to the lower decks and dock. The lifts have a 700 pound Capacity. There is also a beautiful lighted walkway that winds through the rhododendrons down to the water. The driveway to the the house ends in a large level paved parking area that accommodates four or so cars with a walkway down to the upper main level. You will need to bring food (with the closest market in Cashiers and 16 miles away), paper products, trash bags, sheets for 2 full, 1 queen and 4 twin beds, towels, gas for your boat, and any other entertainment needs, floats or tubes for water lounging and wood for the fireplace if you are coming when it is chilly. No pets are allowed nor is smoking in the house or on the decks or dock. Note: All trash must be removed from premises. Plan for endless outdoor fun. Jocassee is a beautiful lake and has many waterfalls and rivers. If you have a boat, we have a dock that you can tie up to. Jocassee is a kayaking haven, and we provide 2 kayaks for your use in the lake only. Please inquire about keys for them. There are maps available of the lake at Devil's Fork State Park where there is a boat landing. By water, it takes 10 minutes to get from the boat landing to Martin Pointe. By vehicle, it takes 45 minutes. There are hiking trails, sliding rocks, waterfalls and much more all close by. For the sportsman, there are warm and cold water fishing opportunities in every direction. The area is known for its lake and river trout fishing.
