Maple Cottage is a four bed idyllic home situated in the infamous Forest of Dean. We would love to host your getaway so please take a look at our photographs, read the description and discover whether this beautiful cottage is suited for you. This cottage offers character, charm and comfort. It is suitable for six guests with one king, one double and two single beds. We are also pet friendly so you are more than welcome to bring your furry friends with you (maximum of two dogs at a charge of £20 per pet). Maple Cottage includes a vestibule, entrance hall, living room, dining room, conservatory, kitchen, downstairs bedroom with an en-suite shower room, utility room, two further bedrooms on the first floor and a family bathroom. The family bathroom offers a standing shower and a large bath for our guests to enjoy. Approached through a gated entrance and leading to parking for 2 cars, there are attractive level low maintenance gardens to the rear and a very useful separate studio. Our guests can access the cottage through a self check in service through the front door. There is enough room for two vehicles to park. Guests will have access to the entire cottage, the conservatory and our lovely garden space. We also have a fantastic rustic hut in the garden which our guests are more than welcome to use. It is a great space to enjoy some cocktails in the fresh air! I am available to contact you throughout your stay should you need me. I am also more than happy to show you around when you arrive or I can leave you to it. It is entirely up to you, please do not worry about offending me if you would rather be left alone. I understand the desire to just relax and get on with your holiday, please just let me know what you would prefer and I will act accordingly. Maple Cottage is set in the small hamlet of Hewelsfield with easy access to local amenities, local rail networks and the Severn Bridge. Hewelsfield is a quiet location surrounded by beautiful countryside offering the ideal situation to walk and cycle in the Forest of Dean. It also provides a good base for those who enjoy fishing or kayaking as it is in easy distance of the Wye, and for those who like to rock climb we have Wintours Leap just down the road. In addition it is the home to many local artists who have workshops in the Forest, including the well known potter Mary Rose. For those who enjoy a day at the races there is the local Chepstow Racecourse or trains from Chepstow and Lydney will take you directly to Cheltenham. In order to get to the cottage, we recommend following these directions: Take the B4228 from Chepstow to Coleford for 7 miles until you come to a sign for Hewelsfield. Turn right and continue for approximately ¼ mile until you reach Hewelsfield Church on the right. Turn right onto Church Lane. Maple Cottage is a semidetached stone cottage second on the left. The name is on the wall. The Forest of Dean is a very famous location.
