Travel Purpose: business
Positive: Perfect location for visiting the Châteaux of the Loire. Although we have been to the area before this was the first time near Amboise. An absolute must are visits to the Chateau Gaillard and the Manoir du Clos Lucé, both wonderful historical sites. Also the glass blower at Chargé- Patrick Lepage - wonderful glass pieces. A river trip from Chaumont with Millière Roboton also a wonderful experience. All these visits proposed by the superb host. A fabulous gite, beautifully furnished and with the added benefit of air conditioning in the bedrooms. Well equipped and a beautiful garden with outdoor furniture, games, table tennis and table football. A really interesting history of the house and its renovation, a history of the war years in Cangey and a family history all meant the entire stay was superb. I would highly recommend a stay at this fantastic gite.
Negative: Only downside was bathroom was as far from the bedroom as it could be but not a deal breaker.
Summary: Fabulous.
