Standing gracefully beside St Mary Magdalen Catholic Church right in the heart of Trentham is Maggies, a delightful and impressive federation style, heritage listed home that sleeps up to eight in grand style. Originally built in the late 19th century for the local parish Priest, this beautiful property has been lovingly brought back to its former glory by two visionaries, interior and exterior designers, Andrew Danckert and Trevor Salmon. Four beautiful bedrooms with flexible bedding arrangements set the stage for incredible gatherings. Sumptuously decorated with quality fabrics and furnishings, each bedroom is themed uniquely. The creativity and colour combinations are chic, fun as well as stately. There is so much to be wowed about here from the splendid entrance, complete with ruby Murano glass chandelier, to the luxurious and magnificent formal living room with sumptuous seating, wall hangings, antiques and fabulous collections of objects d'art. There is a large screen television for entertainment and a gas log fire plus central heating throughout the house. The expansive modern kitchen is fully equipped with all the basics, as well as a myriad of crockery and glassware to cater for all dining requirements. The kitchen and formal dining room will delight guests who love to create culinary masterpieces whilst chatting together. Or, why not book a caterer to do the work for you. Outside exterior seating around the large verandah allows you to enjoy the extensive and beautiful garden, especially in Spring when it explodes in a wonderful display of colour and texture. The grandness of the high ceilings, large rooms, beautiful antiques, interesting bric-a-brac and collections of objects grouped everywhere will provide a unique backdrop for a fascinating stay in the heart of beautiful Trentham. The village offers great country shopping, cafes, restaurants, a bakery and gallery all surrounded by lovely countryside. Only a short drive to Daylesford, Kyneton and surrounds, this is a very special place. Public Holidays and Long Weekends may incur 3-4 night minimum stays. Check-in: 3pm; Check-out: midday. Weekend nights are Thurs/Fri, Fri/Sat or Sat/Sun. Midweek nights are Sun through to Thurs.
