Positive: I didn't get to enjoy the deck but the view seemed pretty. The place seemed clean.
Negative: I was hoping to not use my cell phone data, so I asked the host if I could get the wifi info and password the day before I arrived. Many other hosts have done the same for me. She said it would be written on the wall when I got there. Ok. So I arrive at the place. First off, it was really difficult to open the second gate, which I was unaware of. I thought it needed a key. I went back to the front gate to try the other key. Didn't work. I had to put my hands through the gate and open it from the other side. Since I wasn't using data, I couldn't contact the host. Then, about ten minutes later, I get to the front door, and she had said I can use a code or there would be a key available. The code did not open the door because she later told me it was open, which was not told to me, so I guess when I used the code, it locked it. Then the physical key was in a lockbox, and I was not given the code for it, so I tried the first entry code and the door code. Neither worked. Since it was very hot outside, I decided to turn on my data and thus paid a significant fee. I asked the host and told her what happened. At first, no apology, just telling me the door was open. A little later, I guess she felt bad and apologized for me having to pay for the data, but no offer to pay it back. I ended up leaving a day early. She emailed me that I could leave late for free, but I think it was because she knew I would write a review. I think there were a lot of areas where she can improve communication, but for me, the worst was her realizing she failed to put the password on the board, when she literally could have given it to me before I came. But how do you apologize and take responsibility for the failure, and then not offer to cover the cost? Very strange. So I paid extra for the host's mistake that she admitted she made. The place itself is fine, although they should put coffee pods for people to use.
