Positive: A very tastefully decorated and impeccably clean apartment, with a garden-facing terrace and a beautiful sea view. The kitchen was well-equipped, including a small coffee machine — a thoughtful touch we especially appreciated in the morning. We received clear and helpful instructions on how to get to the apartment, and appreciated the warm welcome and goodbye messages from the host. Considering the general lack of parking in Trieste, having a dedicated parking spot for guests (about 50 meters down the road) was extremely helpful and much appreciated. We enjoyed everything about our stay. One point worth noting, however, is the presence of rather steep and numerous stairs — typical of historic towns with significant elevation changes — which you need to descend to access the apartment. It's good to be aware of this, especially if you're traveling with a stroller or have limited mobility.
