Luxury retreat in the Yarra Valley, Victoria | Bed & Breakfast in Yellingbo

1 Bedroom Bed & Breakfast in Woori Yallock, Yellingbo
We invite you to pause & switch off in our luxury cabin surrounded by native wildlife, beautiful views & solitude, on our cattle farm. The Eleventh Oak is brand new, custom designed and retro fitted, to allow guests to step back to an era less complicated and less demanding.
There is no Wi-Fi, & no screens - deliberately (there is of course mobile phone reception). Instead, it holds an opportunity for you to re-connect with your travel partner and with nature.
The space:
The Eleventh Oak cabin sits on a 3000m2 section of our 50-acre property. When we purchased the property in 2020, the cabin site was just another cattle paddock. Being at the top of a hill, the site holds beautiful views, with Mount Toolebewong on the horizon. All you can hear are the bellbirds in the lower paddock and the occasional cow wanting more food. We decided the site was meant to be shared, for others to kick back and unwind, whilst also being in a prime location to use as a base while enjoying Yarra Valley wineries.
You will be spoiled with homemade & local breakfast provisions, local wine on arrival, a Bluetooth stereo & vinyl turntable, plenty of boardgames, books to read in the hammock in summer or cuddled up by the indoor fire or outdoor fire pit in winter.
The cabin is an open space kitchen, living & bedroom with a private bathroom and two-person bath overlooking views to the North. The Queen bed is made up with alpaca wool, bamboo and high-quality cotton bedding, with different pillows to choose from. The kitchen is almost fully equipped (no oven but two cooktop burners), and you may also cook meals on the BBQ. The bathroom has plush bath sheets, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and bath salts.
Please bear with us as we do some final landscaping to this new project, most of which is tending to the 350 new natives we planted and sowing some new lawn seed. Guest privacy will not be impacted, while we continue to give our green thumbs a serious workout.
Guest access:
The Eleventh Oak site is 3000m2 and is fenced off for guest privacy.
Guests may walk up and down the 500m long driveway - or around the entire block of our property on the cabin side - i.e up Longs Road to the Melbourne Water underground pipeline which will circle back to the cabin. This is a 1.85km walk
Guests need to be aware that the fences are electrified as the property is a cattle farm. Climbing through fences is not permitted.
The nearest neighbour is 180m away from the cabin and our house is 230m from the cabin.
We ask guests to be mindful of staying out of the neighbour's property behind the cabin (180m away), but they are welcome to explore our property and visit the chickens, ponies, cattle and our dog Nala.
The cabin is in close proximity to renowned cycling and mountain bike trails, such as the O'Shannassy Aqueduct Trail.
The Yarra Valley region in Victoria is home to over 80 wineries, most of which offer cellar door tastings, and a large number include restaurants. A full list of wineries and local restaurants will be provided in the cabin welcome manual.
Other things to note:
For guests who have never experienced vinyl record playing - please read the instructions in the cabin welcome manual as well as viewing this YouTube video please, as records are extremely fragile-
