Summary: 4.5 stars! We had a great stay at this house. It was clean and updated. The pool was great for the kids. It is located in a gated community with a guard and close to downtown La Fortuna restaurants. All of our excursions were within 15-30 minutes from the house (Mistico Hanging bridges, La Fortuna waterfall, Ecoglide zip lining, Baldi hot springs, North fields coffee and chocolate tour). Arriving at the house our first night, Waze had taken us on the northern route from Liberia (not the one right by Lake Arenal) and coming from that side of town took us through a local neighborhood and over a very narrow bridge. The directions need to be more specific to go through town and come in from the other side. There is not a dishwasher, which is not a big deal, but we could not get hot water in any of the sinks (kitchen or bathroom) to wash dishes. There was plenty of hot water in the showers though! There is not a washer or dryer at this property. We would definitely stay here again! The host was responsive to questions during our stay. Highly recommend!
