This newly renovated luxury farmhouse is nestled on 111 acres of pure heavenly countryside, located in the Southern Highlands just outside of Goulburn - which is an easy 2 hour drive from Sydney CBD.
ABOUT THE FARM HOUSE
Featuring four luxurious bedrooms, a chef's kitchen and spacious entertaining areas, Rangers Lodge coolly blends country aesthetics with modern design.
The farm house comfortably sleeps 10 people. It has two separate living room spaces that each have a wood fireplace, 7 seater couch, flat screen smart TV and various board games to keep both parents and kids entertained. It's the ultimate space for two families, or a girls/boys weekend away.
If you like to cook, you will not be disappointed by the brand new chefs kitchen. It is an entertainers dream, with the layout designed to maximise the opportunity to cook and socialise at the same time. The luxury white stone island bench is home to a stunning Fisher & Paykel gas stovetop and a fully-appointed kitchen is stocked with everything you need to craft a feast at any time of the day. You will have access to a bread maker (for that country morning farmhouse smell), a Nespresso coffee machine and pods and all your standard comfort appliances (kettle, toaster, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher), plus a Kitchen-Aid mixer for the bakers amongst you. Plates, cutlery, glassware, tea towels, tea and long life milk are also all provided.
The house has a renovated three-way main bathroom (separate shower/bath, toilet and vanity areas, to make it a versatile and usable space for large groups) and a separate powder room; both appointed with beautiful new black and white amenities and fixtures. All four bedrooms have new plush wool carpet, luxury bedding and heaters to help you to feel cosy and at home.
OUT AND ABOUT
We get all four seasons at Rangers Lodge. The summers are dry and hot, winters are cold (we often get a dusting of snow) and the shoulder seasons are truly magnificent as the trees start to bloom in the spring and change colours in the Autumn.
The front yard has an impressive number of fruit trees, including the juiciest grapes that you can eat right off the vine. We get many different birds coming and going throughout the day, especially when the trees are bearing fruit and we also have an outside swinging chair that seats three; it's the perfect spot to read and relax.
You will have access to 111 acres of freedom, with hiking/mountain biking trails across the whole property that you can use at your leisure. Our front paddock also has some mountain biking jumps for the brave of heart. If you're up for a dip you can swim in one of the two dams closest to the house. We have six dams in total and can provide yabbie traps for those who wish to try their luck towards the back of the property; we've had many a tasty dinner caught there.
In the afternoon we recommend making use of our giant fire pit and sitting back with a drink in hand to watch the sun set over the mountain ranges of the Southern Highlands. The view and changing light is truly breathtaking.
If you're up for an adventure you could spend an afternoon at the close by Kingsdale Wines, tasting their outstanding collection. Within a 30 minute drive are many historic townships to discover, including Crookwell, Gunning and Taralga. Taralga is one of our favourites - allow time for a long lunch at the Argyle Inn and a visit to award-winning cafe; The Grand Ettie.
Goulburn is only 15km away, via Middle Arm Road, where you will find many retail stores, groceries, cafes and eateries.
