When we were looking for a mountain getaway close to Asheville, we quickly realized that this was it. With phenomenal mountain views as far as the eye can see, this beautifully remodeled home has all the updates we could want and so much more! The open floor plan, vaulted ceilings, and lots of big windows let in a lot of light and make the home spacious and comfortable. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we do!
We have a direct line to the cell tower across the valley which means unlimited high speed internet for excellent TV streaming connectivity. Our Sling account provides simultaneous connection to three TVs (there are a total of five in the house) and we provide a tvPlus account for lots of viewing options. You can connect to your own Amazon or Netflix account, as well as Google Play.
We provide lots of coffee options in the kitchen, including a Nespresso machine with milk frother, a conventional coffee machine, and all the utensils and cookware you need to prepare delicious meals during your visit. We also have lots of entertainment options including an Xbox, board games, books, ping pong and a pool table.
While we are here we love to explore the many opportunities that Asheville and the surrounding communities have to offer. Check out the River Arts District (one of our favorites) as well as the Biltmore Estate, the Blue Ridge Parkway, downtown Asheville with all its shopping and restaurants, and the miles of hiking and mountain bike trails that are a short drive away. Pisgah National Forest is a favorite destination, and you will love the other national and state forests like Gorges National Park and DuPont State Forest that are an easy day trip from our location.
If you love restaurants, downtown Asheville is a prime destination. Some of our favorites include Sovereign Remedies, Posana and Bouchon, a French restaurant serving French comfort food. For some River Arts District eats, try the Bull and Beggar, 12 Bones, the Smoky Park Supper Club and All Souls Pizza. Other great offerings include Vinnie's Italian and Avenue M, located in North Asheville.
Breweries and bars abound. The River Arts District boasts New Belgium, set in a beautiful new building overlooking the French Broad River. Other favorites include Green Man downtown, Asheville Pizza and Brewing, and Sierra Nevada close by the airport. Most breweries also offer tours where you can get some of the history and taste the offerings.
Four of the beds in this unit are twin sized bunk beds set up in a single room. This is fine for sleeping kids but if you have a party of eight adults it could pose challenges. This is our private home, and we ask that you respect it as such. Guests who have parties or events will be asked to leave, and no refund will be issued.
