The casa is located just 7 miles from downtown restaurants, galleries, and shops. If skiing is your passion, you are only 15 miles from the newly upgraded Taos Ski Valley. The Rio Grande River is a mere 3 miles away. Rafting and hiking are practically in your back yard. The casa itself is a beautifully decorated 1500 Square foot home. It includes all the features you would expect of a classic southwest adobe house. Kiva fireplace, hand plastered walls, saltillo tile floors, viga beam ceilings, colorful custom tile work along with tasteful art and accessories will fulfill your desires for living in southwest style . You will be comforted with the modern conveniences in the casa, to include, under floor heating, a Jacuzzi type bath tub, full sized washer and dryer, a fully-equipped kitchen, and big screen TV with entertainment center and wi-fi. The casa has two large bedrooms and two full bathrooms with a spacious living/dining/kitchen area. The master bedroom has a king sized bed and direct access to the back portal. The second bedroom has a queen sized bed and awesome mountain views. Both beds have high quality pillow top mattresses and are extremely comfortable. For additional guests the sofa converts to a queen size bed. There is a hot tub on the back patio just outside the master bedroom. There are many activities and fun things to do, just a short drive from your home base. You can enjoy the culture of Taos, with its art galleries, eclectic shops and unique restaurants. Skiing, snowboarding, tubing, rafting, fishing, hiking, or adventuring through one of the many colorful towns nearby, can be found within minutes from the casa. Whether you spend your days adventuring, pursuing your favorite outdoor sport, or, simply relaxing and soaking in the rich New Mexico scenery, this classic casa will serve as an accommodating home base. If you decide to stay home and enjoy the local scenery, we suggest having your coffee or your lunch outside on the large portal.
