This beautiful, contemporary cottage is close to Port Eliot and sleeps up to 6 people in three bedrooms. Lower Buttervilla is a beautiful and contemporary, detached holiday home. Transformed from two former farm cottages, lots of original features remain, including two fireplaces - one an inglenook revealing an ancient bread oven and the other fitted with a wood burning stove. The kitchen has a Rayburn for cooking as well as a combination microwave/oven/grill. Glazed doors lead from the lounge/diner to a large enclosed courtyard garden, whilst there is a secluded decked patio at the rear of the cottage. On the first floor, the three bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite bathroom, are bright and stylish. Lower Buttervilla is in the small Cornish village of Polbathic which is close to the Devon-Cornwall border. Nearby is Port Eliot, an impressive stately home which dates back to the 3rd century; both the house and beautiful gardens are open to the public. Amenities: Central heating and wood burning stove. Plymouth is also half an hour away across the Tamar Bridge and hass the National Marine Aquarium, Barbican quay area, theatres, Drake Circus shopping centre and walks along the Hoe. St Germans is an ideal destination with access to attractions.
