You will have unobstructed, 180 degree views of Lone Mountain and the Spanish Peaks. This unit is privately owned and not managed by Big Sky Resort, saving you from extra booking fees and expensive breakfast charges. The Shoshone Building sits in the center of Big Sky Mountain Village and is incredibly convenient for ski-in/ski-out or any activity you have in mind for the mountains. Walk 100 yards out the door and you have immediate access to the base area ski lifts, plus base area shops and restaurants. The unit sleeps 8 comfortably in its 1300 sq. ft., and is decorated with a rustic, Montana flair. This unit is rented and management privately by owner. The main living area consists of a living room that opens to a balcony with spectacular views of Lone Peak and the Spanish Peaks. Unique to the top floor, the vaulted ceiling soars with peaked windows that bring the Big Sky inside. The couch pulls out into a bed that sleeps two people. The open plan flows into the dining area and kitchen which provide a birds-eye view of the Spanish Peaks. There is a 3rd bathroom adjacent with a shower. The Master Suite has a king bed and opens to a balcony with spectacular views of Lone Peak and the Spanish Peaks. It also has vaulted ceiling with windows that add to the room's volume and connection to Montana's Big Sky. It has an en suite bathroom with dual-headed shower. The spacious kitchen and eating area provides a lovely space for cooking and dining in. Note: The kitchen has undergone a 2 phase renovation which was completed December 2019 . Upstairs, there is a loft bed room with a queen bed and a pull out couch to sleep 4 in total. It includes an en suite bathroom with bathtub. This bedroom is private, but not fully enclosed. Its balcony overlooks the living room and gives direct view out the peaked windows in the vaulted ceiling. It also has windows that provide spectacular views of the Spanish Peaks. On the first floor of the building, there are restaurants, the Solace Spa and the Firehole Lounge with a huge wood-buring fireplace and coffee shop. As a guest of the Shoshone, you will have access to the in-door/out-door heated pool and hot tub plus a fitness facility with cardio equipment and weights. In the winter, you are just 100 yards from the lifts for quick access to the Biggest Skiing in America. In addition to the 4,350 vertical feet and 5,750 skiable acres, Big Sky is famous for the lack of crowds. You can easily find your self all alone on a run, as if it is your own private ski mountain! There is something for everyone with steep expert terrain up high, beginner runs near the base, and a huge amount of groomed intermediate runs and tree glades. You will love the Montana powder that is so light and dry it is called "cold smoke" by the locals! Other winter activities include cross-country skiing, snow shoeing, sledding/tubing and zip lining. In the summer, you have the pristine Montana wilderness just out the door including hiking (try local favorite Beehive Basin), mountain biking, golf and zip lining. Big Sky is also home to world class fly fishing in the nearby Gallatin and Madison Rivers. Plus, you are only an hour away from the west enterance of Yellowstone Park and the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center at West Yellowstone.
