Long Bay House suffered catastrophic damage from Hurricane Dorian and is a total loss. We are saddened by the loss of our historic home, but we will re-build. Stay tuned! Long Bay House is directly on mile-long Long Bay Beach. 300 feet of this beach is part of the property. The beach is clear of rocks in front of the house and for at least 1/4 mile north. It is the only house on Green Turtle with a pool and located on a swimmable beach (no rocks). The house sits on a 20' high hill and is surrounded by its own 2 acres of lush tropical foliage. This large property includes a fresh water pool, an elevated beach gazebo with plenty of shade, and an observation tower 40' above sea level with spectacular views, especially of the sunset. The house is an ideal rental for any family or couples that want to get away from it all. The house sleeps up to 6 adults (7 if children are in your party) who want to enjoy life on a 2 acre beachfront property. The house has 2 master bedrooms, each with a king-size bed and separate bath. One of these bedrooms also has a small bunk room with two twin beds perfect for children, separated from the main bedroom by curtains. Long Bay House is located just outside the town of New Plymouth which you can get to by foot or in 4 minutes by golf cart. No long drive to stock up on provisions or to get to restaurants. Several marinas for your boat are also close by. Still, the house is over 250' from the road, accessed by its own private drive and shielded from the road by a dense growth of trees. Unlike most beach houses on Green Turtle which are on subdivision type lots, this property has no neighbors except for the owners' cottage, which has a separate driveway, its own one acre of land, and is shielded by dense foliage. Your two acre property, swimming pool, observation tower, and gazebo are exclusively yours during your stay. Enjoy a day of swimming, snorkeling and relaxing on the beach, in the sun or the shade of the beach gazebo, and follow it up with a swim and perhaps a cocktail in the fresh water pool with built in seating. Before you head out to dinner be sure to watch the sunset from the observation tower. When you return, take a few moments to sit and enjoy the stars.
