COVID-19 Notice: For the 2020 rental season, regardless of what is stated in the descriptions, renters will be responsible to supply all linens, towels, pillows and blankets.Loki's Lodge is a very private, rustic, cozy 850 Sq Ft, one bedroom cedar log cabin built on the beautiful limestone cliff tops in center of the Bruce Peninsula Ontario overlooking the crystal clear waters of Georgian Bay at Cape Chin South. Outdoors - The bunkie has a double bed frame with a foam mattress. There is also a single foam mattress on top (as shown in photo) which could be used for a smaller children. The bunkie is 8' x 12', with screen windows, door, and 120V power running to it (15A receptacle and light). This adorable log cabin features a covered porch with breathtaking views of Georgian Bay and the Niagara Escarpment (Cape Chin). The cottage is located within a provincial nature preserve (Smokey Head White Bluff) and direct access to the Bruce Trail. A thirty minute walk down the Bruce Trial will bring you to Cape Chin Lookout (North) or Smokey Head Lookout (South). Two flights of stairs will take you to the pebble shoreline and the crystal clear waters of Georgian Bay. There are about 20 stairs in total and they are built into the magnificent Niagara Escarpment. Once at the shoreline enjoy the fire pit underneath a starry sky. BEDROOMS 1 Bedroom + Loft + Bunkie 1 Double, Loft has 2 Singles, Double Air Mattress, 2 Pull out Double Couch Bunkie: 1 Double, 1 Single foam air mattress. BATHROOMS Bathroom 1: Tub, Shower, Toilet and Sink KITCHEN Refrigerator/Freezer Stove Microwave Coffee Maker Toaster Kettle Dishes Pots/Pans Cutlery AMENITIES Cell Phone Reception and Mobile Data Available via Cell Antenna 32" HD TV 20" TV - Loft Satellite ( Bell HD ) DVD Player Record Player CD Player Raspberry PI Ceiling Fans Wood Burning Stove Canoe with Paddles Life Jackets ( 2 adult & 2 children) 1 Adult Bicycle Propane BBQ Fire Pit Patio Furniture; Benches/Picnic Table and 4 Muskoka Chairs SHORELINE 2 flights of stairs take you down to the stoney shoreline. Swim shoes are recommended. Great swimming CHILD SAFETY ISSUES The cottage is situated on a cliff with no fence and the stairs leading down to the shore are steep. Children should be watched very carefully and people with mobility issues should be cautious around these areas. PLEASE NOTE: There is now a railing on the front deck PRIVACY RATING Four stars out of Five DOCKING FACILITIES The nearest boat docking facilities are located at Tobermory & Lion's Head WHEELCHAIR ACCESS Cottage is not designed for wheel chair access. LIMITATIONS Individuals 16 years of age or older count as adults. Pets are negotiable. Must be professionally groomed/bathed prior to rental Linens and Towels are not supplied (Can be supplied for an additional fee of $75 Firewood can be purchased for $50.00/week, please inquire when booking. Oct 1-May 1 firewood is included with the rental. Renters are responsible to clean the cottage and remove all garbage/recycling at the end of the rental period. If this is not done cleaning/garbage disposal fees will be charged.Please note that after placing your reservation, a rental application will be sent to you. You will have 24 hours to fill out the application form. If the form is not returned after the 24 hours, your reservation will be cancelled.
