This beautifully updated, Central air-conditioned, ocean-view one-bedroom condo is located on the fifth floor at Sugar Beach Resort on the stunning shores of North Kihei at Sugar Beach. Enjoy early morning beach walks on one of the longest stretches of sand in all of Hawaii. Sugar Beach boasts six miles of uninterrupted coastline, pristinely calm waters for swimming and snorkeling, and is the perfect spot to watch whales breach during the winter months. After a long day of exploring Maui, this centrally located gem is your perfect retreat. Sugar Beach Resort offers an extensive list of amenities including a beautiful oceanfront pool and Hot tub, Sauna, outdoor BBQ area, onsite concierge and activity bookings, as well as a sandwich shop and bar.
Once inside, this well appointed condo has been tastefully updated to truly exemplify a modern, tropical vibe. The generously-sized kitchen features new stainless steel appliances, an outward facing cooktop to ensure you never miss that ocean-view, and a gorgeous quartz countertop with a built-in breakfast bar. The living room flows from the kitchen and features a high-end pullout sofa, flat-screen TV with cable, and high-speed internet. The oversized lanai features a dining table for four with panoramic ocean, mountain and lagoon views. From this unit you can see the breath taking views of Kealia Pond.
The bedroom features a luxurious king-sized bed with soft, white linens and gorgeous plantation shutters to block out that early morning sun. In addition, there is central A/C in this unit (a rarity in Hawaii!) which ensures you stay cool at all times during your stay. The bathroom is between the bedroom and main living area and has been beautifully designed with a matching quartz vanity and walk-in shower. The unit also features a full-sized washer and dryer.
Sugar Beach is one of the most conveniently located spots in all of Maui. Just fifteen minutes from the airport, thirty minutes to Lahaina, and just over an hour to the summit of Haleakala, this is the perfect basecamp to adventure. The owners of this unit have provided beach chairs, beach towels, and a cooler so all you have to do is pack your bags! You’ll love the wonderful ease of access this location provides. Summary: The location of Sugar Beach Resort is amazing!! Pros:- it has an ocean view and a bonus view on the outside wall as it's a corner unit!- the kitchen is updated with newer appliances- beautiful, large kitchen island- gorgeous view of the property and the beach!- a fridge with an ice-maker!Cons:- many of the extra things were found broken during our stay unfortunately (1. the deck box - all the sides were coming off. 2. the beach umbrella didn't work. 3. one of the beach chairs was in very rough shape and needed to have a part re-installed every time we used it. 4. the lock on the cooler was broken so it wouldn't stay closed when carrying it)- the shower leaked A LOT (just a bad design I think)- the bathroom sink drained slowly- the lanai furniture was too high for the railing, especially if you are short or have kids (major safety concern)- the condo was "good from far, far from good" - in pics it looks amazing, but in reality, it needs new paint/trim and the cupboards and drawers were not inline or not installed properly- the condo was not very clean; it looked like the floors hadn't been cleaned prior to our arrival, there were splatters in the kitchen, it was dusty, etc. Not a big deal unless you are a clean freak like me. I'm not sure if we'd stay again with all the above issues, but it did the trick for what we needed. For the price we paid, I expected a lot more pros than cons.
