Welcome to Cubby - The Little Black Cabin By The Lake! We have restored and transformed this original, hand built, 1940s Tahoe cabin into a beautiful and modern four season escape. Our cozy one bedroom + loft, one bathroom cabin is centrally located in one of the most sought after neighborhoods in the region. We've spent the past year thoughtfully curating all spaces throughout the home with modern furniture, luxury bedding and linens, as well as top-end housewares, appliances and beautiful things we love. THE SPACE The main floor of our scandinavian inspired home has an open design concept that includes living room, dining room, chef's kitchen, bathroom and laundry. The abundant windows and dutch doors provide amazing light and plenty of sneak-a-peek views of beautiful Lake Tahoe and surrounding mountains. Up the custom hickory staircase you will find the master bedroom and guest loft / reading nook (both with newly restored skylights). The house also boasts 1000sf of deck space providing the best of indoor / outdoor living for all seasons. Bask in the sun or enjoy your favorite book in a shady, breezy corner throughout the day. Quiet summer evenings by the outdoor firepit or snowy winter nights by the beautiful woodstove in the main living room. Our little Cubby has been restored with so much thought and love, we know you'll have an amazing getaway. THE NEIGHBORHOOD Nestled in the quiet Cedar Flats neighborhood in the small lakeside community of Carnelian Bay, located on the northwestern shores of Lake Tahoe, our little mountain retreat is close to the best of everything Lake Tahoe has to offer. 2 minute walk to private beach and pier, walking distance to endless trails in Tahoe National Forest, less than 20 minutes to Alpine Meadows, Squaw, and Northstar.
