Its a famous surf spot on its exposed side, and offers great snorkeling on the sheltered side and all around the island when the surf is flat. Further afield (30 min) is Milton also boasting cafes, a large supermarket, antique shops, restaurants, markets, and bric-a-brac boutiques.
Walkers may prefer a climb up Pigeon House Mountain, or in the other nature reserves and national parks which are nearby.
For the occasional rainy day, there are wineries, an air force museum and swim centre all within a 45 minutes drive.
Manyana is three hours easy drive from both Sydney and Canberra.
