5 Bedroom House in Centro / Baixa, Porto
Welcome to our house; a UNESCO listed property in the heart of the historic downtown. We are close to museums, restaurants, bars, transport, Port wine cellars and the river. Situated next to Sao Bento train station (one of the most beautiful in the world), our road is one of the oldest in Porto. We have original wooden floors throughout with a central spiral staircase leading up to domed skylight. We provide hand gel and hand-wash. We look forward to meeting you!
The house is on four levels, it is great for being with people but still retaining some privacy due to it's layout. The spine of the house is a beautiful spiral staircase which leads up to a skylight, it some times reminds me a little bit of a lighthouse. Being a corner house we have many windows and balcony doors. It is quite a usual house and we love it and hope you do to. Here is the layout; there is a kitchen/ living room on the first floor, with a hallway and a toilet/wash basin. The second floor has two bedrooms and another toilet/wash basin and windowed small hallway. The third floor has two bedrooms and a shower/ wash basin and small hallway. The final floor has a bedroom and a shower/wash basin with a windowed hallway. There is also an additional room for you to use with a long desk and office chair. Each room has balcony access.
You can access all four floors of this house. In total we actually have 7 bedrooms, the 5 rooms listed and two extra- you may use one of them for a hang out/work space; it contains a long desk, office chair and spare bedding and extra pillows for your use. The other room I keep closed. There is also a loft space which you may not enter.
If you have mobility issues or are with very young children then this listing could be unsuitable. Saying that, my family do come stay and they range from 1yrs old to the mid 70's, so it is your choice!
Porto can be a surprisingly chilly city. Do remember to bring jumpers and warm things!
This is a used house by guests and sometimes my family so please note ornaments or plants get placed in slightly different locations or they sometimes get broken or beddings rotated and replaced, but all in all the vibe is the same!
