Welcome to Palacios, Texas, in beautiful Matagorda County. Join us in discovering the Texas Coast’s best-kept secret. Kick your shoes off, bury your toes in the sand and stay awhile.
Our three-bedroom, two bath bay home is situated nicely amongst a developing, gated community. Guests have access to three fishing piers, a lookout tower at the entrance to the peninsula, basketball and tennis courts, a well-maintained park and play area as well as a paradisal private pool with views of the bay. There's a pretty cool lighthouse nearby, too!
Enjoy a stay in our beautiful home complete with nearby dining options–may we suggest Palacios Mexican Restaurant (PMR), Tran’s Restaurant or try the Pho at The Point like Anthony Bourdain did in an episode of Parts Unknown.
Our construction company built this and several other homes in the up-and-coming community. We use this as a model home to show prospective homebuyers. You can have peace of mind knowing that it is well-maintained, clean and loaded with features for an enjoyable stay.
Not to worry, there's blazing-fast WiFi and SmartTV with Netflix and all that. If you must bring work along, you're connected, but we doubt you'll spend much time binge-watching The Office with the water right outside your door.

The coastal community of Palacios, along Tres Palacios Bay in the southwestern corner of Matagorda County, is the second largest city in Matagorda County. Known as the Shrimp Capital of Texas, the Port of Palacios is home to more than 400 commercial shrimp, crab and oyster boats that operate in Matagorda Bay and the Gulf of Mexico.
Palacios is a popular spot for “Winter Texans” and year-round vacationers alike. Visitors can enjoy breathtaking sunrises and sunsets or observe a variety of bird life in the estuaries and marshes found in Palacios. For nearly two decades, this little area has been home to the number one birding location on Earth, with more than 200 species of birds finding their way through the area annually.
Whether you have a sailboat, canoe or a fishing vessel, there are numerous public boat ramps and three marinas available for launching and docking. Families can relax and spend time in the covered picnic areas and playgrounds located on both the East and South Bay parks.
A 1.5-mile long concrete lighted seawall allows for a quiet stroll or exercise alongside the bay while enjoying the view. The gentle waves of the quiet bay arrive like clockwork and the bay breeze allows for a cool morning run alongside the spectacular sunrise. Often, schools of porpoises can be spotted feeding along the coastline.
