Positive: We spend a few special days at this unique location. The view over the valley is absolutely stunning, peaceful, spacious and surrounded by nature. The apartment (the top floor of the house) is tastefully decorated, cosy, and full of character, definitely not your average holiday rental. The host was very friendly and helpful, and we did enjoy our stay. Especially the peace, the view and the atmosphere. If you are aware of the access and layout, it’s a special place to unwind and experience something different.
Negative: However, the road to the house is something to consider. It’s a long, narrow gravel track with potholes and uneven surfaces. Only one car can pass at a time, and you really need to drive slowly. This wasn’t mentioned in the description, but would have been helpful to know in advance. The sleeping arrangements were also a bit different than expected. There are two spacious double bedrooms, but the other 2 sleeping areas are open loft spaces under the sloped roof, only accessible by a steep staircase and too low to sit upright. There’s also a bed on the landing and a sofa bed in the living room. For groups this might work fine, but we booked expecting four proper bedrooms.
