Positive: The hosts, Claire, Robert and Colin the Collie were very welcoming and really looked after us. We arrived after a long drive through France to a lovely selection of cheeses in the fridge and homemade jam and cake. It was lovely to sit outside in the evening sunshine and drink wine, eat cheese and play some board games. The gite is surrounded by gorgeous fields and has access to lots of different activities, perfect for a family holiday with a 7 year old. We enjoyed the Aquascope water park, the fortress in Chinon, Chateau Rival and the French equivalent of ‘Go Ape’. The cottage has everything you need in it for a comfortable stay.
Negative: Nothing. You will need a car though because everything is a drive away.
Summary: Perfect location to enjoy cheese, Chardonnay and chateaus (& lots of outdoor activities)
