Nestled on a panoramic promontory in the heart of the gentle, unspoilt Bressian countryside, on the banks of the Seille, a remarkable ecosystem classified as "Natura 2000" (migratory bird reserve, rare plant species, numerous fish, animals & wildlife, etc.), the village has a 39 km navigable area classified among the most beautiful in France (possible rental of electric boats, pedal boats or canoes on site), a superb 16th century flamboyant Gothic church, a naturalist museum with renowned planetarium ( "Centre Éden") & offers a breathtaking view over the Bresse plain to the Jura mountains.
