Summary: This house has a lot of potential to be a nice rental, but it didn't feel quite ready for anyone to stay there. None of the windows have curtains, and we found quite a lot of bugs. We also had a run-in with a rat (or very large mouse) -- it ate a bunch of our packaged baked goods overnight and knocked over a vase. We collectively heard a lot of scratching and rustling noises at night. There also wasn't an outdoor light, and that plus the lack of curtains felt a bit creepy, especially when it was dark. There's also an old trailer and generally some outdoor junk outside. With a bit of work this place will be great. It's large and has some beautiful old house features. The owner was also very responsive when we had problems with the heat, and got it fixed immediately.
