Summary:
Be surrounded by nature in the quiet private area in this home away from home with all you need. A clean lake and sandy shore with privacy, great for swimming, fishing, canoeing and kayaking. Only 20% of the lake has cottages on it, the rest is wild forest so there are lots of starry nights. Enjoy a peaceful walk through the forest, or enjoy a nice drink by the fire at this charming getaway. Though it's quite removed from the hustle of the city, you still have wifi and cell signal at the house.
The Space:
Relaxing Hot tub outside with outdoor shower, cozy fireplace, arcade games, and movie room inside. High speed internet. The cottage itself is clean and cozy and offers the feeling of comfort and relaxation. 2 bedrooms have a queen bed and one bedroom is a double bed and clean bedding is provided.
Outside:
On a beautiful clean lake there is a outdoor sofa/lounge area by the water, amazing swimming with beach, a canoe and 2 kayaks, a private good sized mostly unpopulated lake to explore. Also, a screened gazebo, outdoor kitchen, hot tub, outdoor shower, and BBQ. Spend starry nights looking up at the sky and enjoying a cozy fire around the firepit. There is crown land and trails nearby as well.
Inside:
Movie room with Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Disney Plus provided and a DVD player with loads of DVD classics. Arcade Area with rod hockey game, and an Arcade game with PacMan and 7 other games. There are a few board games as well to play while listening to the crackle of the fire in the wood stove. Cozy and safe wood stove with wood provide in wood shed.
The main bedroom has a secretary desk, should you like to have a workspace. This spot will help you unplug and stay present with life however Wifi is available throughout the house and cell phone service is available to with a cell phone booster.
A fully stocked kitchen with stove/oven, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker and kettle. With all pots, pans, plates, bowls provided. The Water is drinkable and tested regularly.
There is a safe woodstove inside and a firepit outside with wood provided.
Close to ATV/Snow mobile trails that you are free to bring with you to cottage, ample parking for trailers
Private quiet area with about 20% of lake is privately owned and the rest is wild forest.
Cross country ski on the lake, explore trails, sip hot chocolate inside and enjoy the winter
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the whole house and the lake and there is Crown land (public land) close by.
Other Things to Note:
We do not allow loud music or large parties at the cottage.
Please note that we do not offer a boat launch, however it's very easy and enjoyable to go on the water with the canoe or kayaks provided.
There is cell phone service in the cottage, sometimes calls can be spotty, text messaging always works, there is a landline phone for the times there's bad cell phone service.
