Summary: First of all, the lake view was stunning! The house is pretty, but we did have some issues. We did make Carrie aware that one of the cabinets in the kitchen was broken, windows were cracked, one of the knobs to the back door was really loose, and there wasn't any complimentary wine as stated on the Welcome sign. Carrie did send over a complimentary wine and sparkling grape for the kids. That was very sweet of her! She did explain what happened to the other issues as well, and we understood. Again, Carrie was really nice, helpful, and responded quickly. Family who stayed in the bedrooms upstairs, did tell me later on that it smelled moldy so we had to buy air fresheners. The pool was dirty when we arrived, BUT we did clean it and enjoyed the pool. It wasn't too much of a hassle. She did inform us that the pool cleaning company would arrive to clean the pool while we were there, and they did treat the pool. Because of the wooded area, I now see why the pool was dirty. Yes, there is a lot of bugs, but what do you expect being near a wooded area, lake, and pool area. Water attracts bugs. We did enjoy the pool and it was really relaxing! Also, we did see some deer in the backyard! Getting to the lake was a little difficult. We did not find a trail, but we did manage to get to the lake. Please be aware that it is a steep hike to get down to the lake and back up to the house. Make sure to wear tennis shoes!
