•Lakehouse at Clifty Heights is in a beautiful location set in a private cove on lakefront property on the Lake of Egypt, just a short, easy access to I57 and I24, friendly towns of Marion, Goreville, and Creal Springs. Local attractions include but not limited to 3 lake marinas, local restaurants, and many wonderful Southern Illinois wineries, all a short distance from property. • With 93 miles of secluded wooded bays and inlets Lake of Egypt is one of Southern Illinois’s hidden treasures. Boating, fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding and swimming are prime activities, and water-skiing, tubing, and jet skiing are also available in certain areas. Three marinas on the lake – all accessible via boat or personal vehicle - offer everything from food trucks almost every Friday and Saturday, full bars, live music, and delicious restaurants serving Mexican food and amazing pizza.
• Adults will enjoy a leisurely day of touring the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail set among the scenic countryside of Southern Illinois. Spend time discovering the distinctive character of each winery, exploring the charming towns and unique local restaurants that dot the trail, and leaning about the region’s rich history.
