La Rudda is a beautiful, very welcoming residence located in Specchia, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, ideal for romantic getaways or for those looking for a peaceful family holiday. It is 5 minutes by car from the Piazza del Popolo, with its beautiful castle, imposing bell tower that rises high in the sky, and the delicious Martinucci pastry shop, where you can taste a delicious hot freshly baked pastry. The house, ideal for 4-6 people, has an entrance with a dining room, a large and bright living room with two entrances - one front and one rear - through which you can access the rudda (or the flowerbed): we warmly invite our guests to use the products of our land, tomatoes, peppers, eggpants, etc.. Finally, there is a spacious bedroom, also with an independent entrance at the front of the house, as well as a large bathroom with a window attached. The house has a large and quiet outdoor area where you can enjoy a romantic dinner under a starry sky, or a book early in the day. Inside the gate of the house there is a parking space for 1 to 2 cars. For those looking for a holiday in the tranquility of the Borgo and close to the Salento coast, La Rudda and Borgo di Specchia are the best choice for you.
The Rudda has three entrances on the front facade, one leading to the kitchen, one to the living room/bedroom and one to the bedroom. The kitchen area has a kitchenette, with burners, fridge / freezer, as well as a complete set of pots, pans, plates and cutlery, and a dining table.
The living room is equipped with a table with wheels, therefore easy to move, which can be used both as a work or study surface, or even placed outside for romantic dinners surrounded by nature. The living room is equipped with a comfortable mattress on the floor and a sofa with a sofa bed function, which if necessary can accommodate 3-4 additional people without sacrificing their comfort. The living room is also equipped with Wi-fi connection, TV, large mirror and comfortable armchairs, on which to sit comfortably reading a book or simply listen to the sounds of nature.
The spacious and bright bedroom, with a private entrance from the outdoor garden, is equipped with large wardrobes, and enough space to store your personal effects, including suitcases, and a set of towels.
The bathroom with a window, consists of a large walk-in shower and complete sanitary ware, is equipped with a hairdryer, welcome kit with shampoo, conditioner and shower bath, iron and ironing board.
A closet outside the house is also equipped with a washing machine and clothesline.
La Rudda is characterized by an immense outdoor garden, with trees typical of the area: almond trees, walnut trees, figs, and also different vegetables typical of the area. The choice of the name La Rudda was born, in fact, from the desire to create small flower beds, in the Salento dialect, rudde, in which to plant fresh vegetables, such as eggplants, tomatoes, etc. The garden, equipped with lighting, is the ideal location for those who dream of delicious breakfasts in the name of tranquility and relaxation.

Specchia, which was named in 2017 one of the 100 most beautiful villages in Italy, is located in a strategic position for those coming to visit Salento, as it is located 52 km from Lecce and 22 km from Santa Maria di Leuca.
Not far from Specchia, there are several very characteristic seaside resorts: Marina Serra with its romantic natural swimming pool, Tricase Porto, Castro - the Maldives of Salento, places with lovely restaurants overlooking the sea, where you can drink house wine and taste fresh fish caught early in the morning; Otranto, with its beautiful sunrise; and Lecce, a romantic baroque city, where you can enjoy quiet strolls on cool summer evenings.
