Positive: It is in the perfect location! We walked to breakfast every morning (at PAULS) and enjoyed the wonderful main street at the bottom of the Chateau filled lots of choices for outdoor dining and drinking. I think Amboise is just the best town for basing your visit in the Loire valley. Chantal was an excellent hostess, showing us everything we would need. It was nice to have some space after months in hotels. The washing machine was so helpful to long time travelers and the bathroom was large enough for my tall husband. The fun fact was beyond the umbrella patio is a fun room that i will keep a secret because it was so cool. Around the cottage is a footpath up to Clos Luce but i suggest you dont use it. It’s quite rugged and steep with stones slipping under your feet. Go after you visit the Chateau (5 minute walk)
Negative: My only con is that the sofa was uncomfortable and a bit old. Replacing that would make a more comfortable stay.
Summary: Great location in an adorable cottage and town!
