Kiwi Bush Haven is a family friendly romantic getaway set deep in the heart of lush native bush. There is no traffic noise up here, just the soul restoring sounds of birdsong and breeze! Our guests stay in a self-contained annexe to the main Crindau Lodge building. The luxury accommodation consists of two identical rooms sharing an ensuite bathroom on the upper floor of a renovated barn with great views of the Kaimai bush. Each room has been tastefully furnished in a Pacific theme, with polished wooden floors and queen-sized beds. High quality towels and linen plus fluffy robes are provided for your comfort. Downstairs there is an additional bathroom with a large bath tub for soaking in. Winter warmth is provided by a small wood-burner. There are heaters and fans for every room, plus extra blankets and towels should you need them. We can host a maximum of two couples, plus two children. A bassinet/cot-bed and high chair can be provided if necessary and the setup is very child friendly. We have a lovely garden lounge/kitchenette room with patio and an outdoors BBQ area in our organic veggie patch. An entertainment unit gives you full access to Sky Digital with Sports, Movie and News channels, plus a selection of over 100 DVDs. There is free access to Wifi Internet. This area holds a small library with extensive information on the surrounding area. A perfect spot to relax in the afternoon sun and plan your itinerary! The lounge has a full kitchenette, with everything that you will need to self-cater. Coffee and tea making facilities are provided and there is a two-burner hob, a good sized pantry, a fridge, a freezer, a microwave, a toaster and free laundry service. Waihi Beach and Athenree Hot pools are just 15 mins drive North. Mount Maunganui is 35 mins South. Kaimai bushwalks on your doorstep. We live next door, so are on site to offer assistance should you need us. Come and enjoy our little slice of Kiwi Bush Haven paradise! Special conditions: Smoking allowed outside only. Checkin time is 3pm Checkout time is 10am. Early checkins and late checkouts may be available, but this depends on other bookings. You are welcome to store your bags here and there is access to a day shower and toilet. No loud noise or hard partying. It is a peaceful spot up here and we'd like you to be able to experience that.
