Summary: I can't speak about unit #8 because we didn't end up staying there. It got double booked, but the staff at Kahana Village were still able to accommodate us in units #41 & #42 (yes we had to change rooms part way through our stay). The property is just lovely. It's right on the ocean, so we sat out on our deck and watched the waves every night. The beach there has great sand, but once you walk out there are many rocks. We did go out swimming and the waves were great. We did enjoy the mai tai party on Wednesday night down by the pool. They had someone playing music and leading dancing for the kids. Mai tais, snacks, and other drinks were served. The property is near a ton of other vacation rentals. It was easy to get to. We hit up a couple of grocery stores in the area and cooked a lot in our unit.
