Positive: The villa is right next to an amazing lagoon with beautiful wildlife. On both sides of the road, where the villa sits you can find the sea and wonderful beaches. You can also go hiking straight from the house on the trails of Capo Carbonara. The house itself is spacious, cozy and well taken care of. We were four adults plus one small child and we had plenty of room. There was also room for both our rental cars behind the gate in the car port. No problems with electricity or hot water. The best part though was the pool and the area surrounding it. It's compact, but very private and enjoyable, perfect for swimming, sunbathing or just hanging by the pool. Mario, our host, and the cleaning ladies were very helpful, flexible, easy to get a hold of and polite.
Negative: The floor inside the house could have used a mopping. The house was otherwise very clean, but the floor required indoor shoes. The tiles in the pool area could also do with a good scrub and cleaning. None of the outdoor showers were usable, but this wasn't a big problem, since there are three showers inside. The villa has a roof terrace with a great view of the lagoon and the sea, but it hadn't been cleaned from leaves etc and it wasn't furnished, which was a shame. Overall though, the villa and yard were absolutely wonderful and we will come back.
