Positive: Amazing location beyond anywhere I have ever stayed, wonderful bed and bathroom with great comfort.
Negative: Kitchen smoke detector is directly above cooking range. This makes it impossible to do any real cooking. No smoke at all and the smoke alarm went off and there was no key in the panel to turn it off. Staff did not have the override code so fire alarm went off and they were slow to respond and then never showed up in the hour and 15 min alarm sounding. We ended up talking to the upstairs and their key was in the panel so we used their key to shut the fire alarm down. Someone from on the hill came within a few minutes, but he knew nothing about the home or how to shut it down. Al lot of the fault goes to the UK government, cause the fire standards are clearly way way out of control(a local told me they have theirs go off with a hot shower) but that makes it all the more needed to have a shut down possible. My only assumption is no one cooks in here, or perhaps it goes off often and this has still no been handled. Either way not a great situation but the stay overall was amazing and that was the only real issue.
